Product

What does Smart Leveling actually measure?+

The current design combines a three-axis accelerometer and a three-axis gyroscope to read side-to-side and front-to-back tilt.

Does it calculate how much lift is needed?+

The planned app flow estimates lift height and converts that estimate into a block count based on the compatible standard block profile.

How is the device charged?+

RLS01 uses a 2000 mAh rechargeable battery and 5 V Type-C charging. The current specification lists about three hours for a full charge, about 28 hours of continuous use, and about 45 days in typical sleep-assisted use; field-test conditions will be published before launch.

What are the current size and weight?+

The current RLS01 specification is 33.5 × 82 × 31 mm and approximately 90 g. Production enclosure measurements will be reconfirmed before orders open.

Compatibility

Which RV types are in the compatibility plan?+

The product specification covers Class A, Class B, Class C, travel trailers and fifth wheels. Popup or hybrid campers remain a separate validation candidate.

Will it work with an automatic leveling system?+

ROADROAM can provide an outside reading while the owner follows the RV maker’s approved automatic or manual process. Final compatibility will be published by rig and system type.

Do I still need blocks or jacks?+

Yes. ROADROAM provides sensing and guidance; the physical adjustment still uses the approved equipment intended for the RV.

Setup

Does it need permanent installation?+

The planned mount is removable and does not require wiring. It needs a stable, repeatable interior surface that moves with the main RV body.

Can it mount on different wall directions?+

The concept supports four interior wall orientations, with app setup recognizing the chosen orientation. Final mounting instructions will be validated before release.

What happens during first installation?+

First bring the RV to a confirmed level reference with a physical bubble level. Level and secure the bracket on a rigid interior wall, insert the main unit, enter the RV settings in the App, then tap “Set level.”

Can I use the device away from the RV mount?+

Yes, the planned removable design can support other angle checks such as a table, shelf, campsite platform, or equipment surface.

App & connection

Does the core leveling function need internet?+

No internet connection is planned for the core live leveling flow. The phone communicates directly with the device over Bluetooth.

Which phones will be supported?+

Final iOS and Android versions, device requirements, and store links will be published on the Downloads page before release.

What happens if Bluetooth disconnects?+

The app should present a clear disconnected state and stop treating old readings as live. Reconnection behavior remains part of current app validation.

Safe leveling

Can one person complete the setup?+

The experience is designed to keep the live reading with the person outside, reducing the need for a second reader. Some rigs or campsite conditions may still require a spotter.

Can I use stabilizers to lift or level the RV?+

Only if the stabilizer manufacturer explicitly states that the equipment is designed for lifting or leveling. ROADROAM does not change that instruction.

What should a towable level first?+

Many towable workflows handle side-to-side before unhitching and front-to-back afterward, but the owner must follow the RV and equipment manuals.

Launch & orders

Is Smart Leveling a finished retail product?+

No. A working hardware prototype and app concept exist, while enclosure, field validation, production, and final specifications remain in progress.

Is the planned campaign officially affiliated with Kickstarter?+

No. ROADROAM’s pre-launch pages refer to a planned Kickstarter campaign but do not imply endorsement or affiliation with Kickstarter, PBC.

Where will shipping, return, and warranty terms appear?+

Those topics have separate Support pages. Final commercial terms will replace the current planning framework before orders open.
